bear market熊市
相對於「牛市」，想像一頭熊站立揮舞著牠的熊掌往下狠狠一劃，如同股票的線性一路向下，代表行情下跌的市場。
Experts have said that the next bear market will be more harmful to investors.
（專家表示，下一次的熊市會對投資者造成更大的傷害。）

bond債券
由政府所發行的債券就叫做政府公債（government bond）。
The central bank issued government bonds to support government spending.

stock股票

（科技股上週暴跌，但投資者依然持樂觀態度。）

recession衰退

depression蕭條（比recession更嚴重）

（1930年代的經濟大恐慌／大蕭條是至今最嚴重的世界經濟衰退事件。）
surge大漲
The U.S. stock market surged this week.
（美國股市這週大漲。）
limit up漲停
The stock hit the limit up after the company's impressive earnings report.
（在該公司令人印象深刻的收益報告後，該股票達到漲停。）
limit down跌停
The stock price hit the limit down due to the unexpected negative news.
（由於意外的負面消息，該股票價格達到跌停。）
being played for suckers割韭菜
這個片語的意思是被別人當作傻瓜或被人利用、欺騙。它表示某人被別人愚弄，通常是因為他們信任了不值得信任的人，或被騙進了一個不利於自己的局面。
「割韭菜」多用來比喻股票市場的上層階級（大戶）欺壓底層民眾（散戶），因為韭菜耐寒不容易死，割了又很快重新生長，以養活採割者。
They invested in the scam thinking it was a great opportunity, but they were just being played for suckers.
（他們以為這是個很好的投資機會而投入資金，但實際上他們只是被割韭菜了。）
